We all want to understand
When our life gets out of hand
So many things we can’t explain away
When our fate seems so unjust
We forget we have to trust
Life will unfold the way it’s meant to
Drop to our knees and begging please
Take this pain and trouble away
With every prayer demand and dare
How could this happen now?
But-
EVERYTHING HAPPENS AT JUST THE RIGHT TIME
WHEN YOU LOOK BACK YOU’LL AGREE
THAT EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON
ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS SO HARD
No one knows what to believe
We would rather stay naive
So many things are not what they seem to be
We all want some evidence
When we can’t make any sense
Out of things that occur that make us feel afraid
Explain to me so I can see
The logic that’s working here
Help me to name what I can blame
Why did this happen now?

As if an explanation that we could get
Could make it easier to accept
That this is the path, sometimes you laugh, and sometimes you cry
Don’t be afraid to live, cause you’re afraid to die
With every turn a chance to learn
